LNI: Leadership Northwest Indiana

Quarterly program to expose the Region to new, emerging and relocated leaders.

Curriculum is based on the Quality of Life Indicator Report for Northwest Indiana. Participants can expect to grow their leadership skills in areas such as strategic planning, conflict resolution, meeting facilitation as well as gain a better understanding Regional issues and assets. 

This course includes the famous bus tour of the Region as well as Pop-Up events to network and socialize with past alumni and current participants. Download PDF with dates.

The Road Trip!

No fee, but seats are limited.

This full-day program is geared for alumni and individuals who want to visit a city or specific venue proven to be a difference maker in the Midwest.

Road Trip #2: June 27, 2017 - Rockford, Illinois

Road Trip #3: September 28, 2017 - Columbus, Indiana


SLYCE: South Shore Leadership Youth for Community Engagement

Semester-long leadership program for high school students in our seven-county region.

Students come to understand Regional issues and assets while they work collaboratively to recommend action for regional leaders to review and utilize.


  • Students are presented with a series of sessions focused on building leadership skills.

  • Students can expect to create a strong network for friends as they meet and interact with local leaders and key stakeholders. Schools and community groups are encouraged to nominate bright, thoughtful students with leadership ability.

The Vision Project

Accused of having a big vision?

Our annual membership program invites experienced and seasoned leaders to join a cohort of individuals to discuss and delve into Regional assets and the issues we face. Discover initiatives and recommend action to advance the Region. 

Participants can expect to meet monthly for a series of high-level presentations offering inspiration and benchmarks from around the United States. Presenters may include: Governors, Mayors, CEO's for Cities, Venture Capitalists, Futurists/Scientist, Technology Leaders, National Foundations/Philanthropists, Faith Leaders and more. 


The theme for 2017 is: Developing the Region as a Tourist Destination - What This Really Means!

The Philanthropy Roundtable

This is a six-session program directed at a certification in NFP Leadership.
